Captain Underpants

Director
David Soren
Certificate
U
Running Time
89 mins

Turbo director David Soren helms DreamWorks’ suitably flatulent CGI animated adaptation of elements from the first four of Dav Pilkey‘s bestselling kids’ novel series following the misadventures of schoolboy pranksters George Beard (Kevin Hart) and Harold Hutchins (Thomas Middleditch) and their imaginary superhero, Captain Underpants.

You want silly? To get revenge on their foul-tempered headmaster Mr. Krupp (Ed Helms), George hypnotises him into believing that he is, in fact, the underwear-clad avenger. Enter new history teacher Professor Pee-Pee Diarrheastein Poopypants (Nick Kroll) – no, really – who’s actually a villainous mad scientist bent on eliminating laughter.
