The Winter’s Tale: Live from Shakespeare’s Globe

Director
Blanche McIntyre
Certificate
12A
Running Time
180 mins

King Leontes of Sicily (Will Keen of The Crown and Wolf Hall fame) appears to have it all: wealth, power and a loving spouse, Queen Hermione (Priyanga Burford W1A, Marcella), who’s heavily up the duff. But when he suspects her of having it off with his chum the King of Bohemia, he sets in motion a terrible train of events.

Broadcast live to cinemas, this well-received production of the Bard’s tragicomedy of obsession and redemption is directed by Blanche McIntyre, who directed Comedy of Errors and As You Like It at the Globe in 2014 and 2015.
