A true-life US crime drama telling the story of Detroit 14-year-old Richard Wershe Jr. (newcomer Richie Merritt), who became an undercover informant for the FBI during the crack epidemic of the 1980s and helped to put away plenty of dealers and corrupt officials.
Alas, White Boy Rick was himself sent to the big house for drug dealing three years later. This is French director Yann Demange‘s follow-up to his critically acclaimed ’71. The supporting cast includes Matthew McConaughey as Rick’s father and Bruce Dern as his granddad.
