Living in the heart of rapidly gentrifying East London, unemployed working class Micky (Martin Herdman) is a victim of austerity Britain. His dad is succumbing to dementia and his recovering addict son struggles to stay clean on an estate awash with drugs. Eventually, Mickey resorts to desperate measures to bring some security to his family.
Mark Gillis‘s realist indie drama has inevtiably earned comparisons to the work of Ken Loach, especially the similarly themed I, Daniel Blake.
