Billed as the UK’s first live, interactive feature film, Bloodyminded explores the mortality of war through a blend of fiction and documentary, taking in research into WW1 conscientious objectors and interviews with British Army veterans. Shot in one continuous take, it’s stremed live to cinemas across the UK for one night only.
The interactive bit takes the form of an app, responding to questions directed by a narrator who asks the audience to consider their own relationship with violence – as individuals and as members of a society that continues to wage war on their behalf. To take part, you will need a fully charged smartphone or a tablet with an internet connection (you can connect to the free wi-fi at Watershed). The URL for the Web App will be given out before the film starts.
