Back in February 2012, Sunday Times journalist Marie Colvin and photographer Paul Conroy snuck into Syria illegally, determined to report on plight of Syrian civilians trapped in Homs, a city under siege and relentless military attack from the Syrian army. Only one of them returned.
Based on Conroy’s memoir of the same title, Chistopher Martin‘s powerful and impassioned documentary combines footage of the bloody conflict, TV news reports and recent accounts to tell its suspenseful story. This is the first of three films about Colvin. Next up is the biopic A Private War, starring Rosamund Pike.
