For his directorial debut, telly explorer Bruce Parry romps around the globe – from the jungles of Malaysia to the tributaries of the Amazon – meeting indigenous people to find out what we can learn from them.
In case you’re wondering, ‘Tawai’ is the word the native hunter-gatherers of Borneo use to describe their inner feeling of connection to nature. Parry’s film is billed as “a dreamy, philosophical and sociological look at life … a quest for reconnection, providing a powerful voice from the heart of the forest itself.” Note that this is an Ourscreen screening.
