Leaning Into the Wind

Director
Thomas Riedelsheimer
Certificate
PG
Running Time
97 mins

Following their previous collaboration, Rivers and Tides, seventeen years ago, German film-maker Thomas Riedelsheimer joins forces once again with renowned Scottish artist Andy Goldsworthy, who specialises in building elaborate sculptures out of wood, leaves, ice and stone in a variety of landscapes, from open fields to sea shores and river banks.

From the mud floor of a remote Brazilian villager’s hut through to the Scottish forest near his home, the film follows Goldsworthy as the now 60-year-old clambers through hedgerows and trees, each environment he encounters becoming a kaleidoscopic canvas for his art.
