A special 30th anniversary screening of one of the best Comic Strip episodes, directed by the young Stephen Frears, with the late Peter Cook as the eponymous cleaver-wielding psycho and Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson experimenting with early versions of the characters they were later to develop for Bottom. There’s a splendid turn too from Nicholas Parsons, or Nicholas Bloody Parsons, as Edmondson refers to him throughout.
The screening is followed by a Q&A with co-writer Rowland Rivron, beamed from the Everyman Screen on the Green.
