Book of Dust – Midnight Opening and Cocktail Party
A special late-night opening to mark the publication of a new Young Adult series from the celebrated author of the acclaimed and bestselling His Dark Materials trilogy, Philip Pullman.
The first volume of the new The Book of Dust trilogy, La Belle Sauvage (David Fickling, £20), is set 10 years before the events recounted in His Dark Materials and features familiar characters as well as introducing new ones. Pullman describes the new trilogy as an ‘equel’ rather than a sequel – a new story that stands beside his previous series.
There will be fancy cocktails, themed food, music, a grand quiz and many other activities on the night.
Doors will open at 9.30pm and close again at 12.30am. Books will only be available for purchase or collection after midnight. The quiz will begin at 10.30pm.
