The Friends of Redland Library host their latest Desert Island Books evening on the theme of books and the sea.

Guests are: Dr Kate Hendry (Chemical Oceanographer and Reader, University of Bristol), Dr Laurence Publicover (Senior Lecturer, Dept of English, University of Bristol), Professor Rosamund Sutherland (Dept. of Education, University of Bristol, and Trustee of SS Great Britain), Captain Richard Whalley (Royal Navy Officer, MoD Abbey Wood)

The panelists will select one book on the main theme for the event; and a second ‘wildcard book’, being a book that they have enjoyed and would recommend to others.
