“I love playing at Ashton Gate. We’ve had some really good performances and results there so I would say that along with some last minute winners so far this season!”
3. How has your time at Manchester United influenced your coaching style?
“Working with some top top players there taught me that everybody wants to develop and get better. It taught me and challenged me to find ways to help them develop which I really loved.”
4. What can fans expect from a Charlotte Healy team?
“I like my team to dominate the game with the ball because the more control we have the more we can influence the game. But ultimately, I want my team to play exciting, attacking football that people love to watch and can get excited about.”
5. Who is the football manager you most look up to and why?
“I’ve been lucky enough to work with some really good coaches and manages in my career so far but I think the people that have had the biggest influence on me and my career would be Matt Beard, Nick Cushing, Casey Stoney and Martin Ho.”
6. How do the women’s and men’s teams at City work together?
“Our training schedules are actually very similar so, day-to-day, we don’t see each other too much as we’re all fully focussed on the programmes. It’s such a fantastic training ground, the high-performance environment works for both teams and it means we have a great opportunity to knowledge-share across the teams where we can!”
7. What has it been like to play at Ashton Gate?
“Ashton Gate is a fantastic stadium- both staff and players love playing there. We’ve definitely had some of our best performances of the season there so far, there’s nothing better than winning games in front of your home fans!”

9. How has women’s football changed during your time in the game?
“It’s unrecognisable now from what it was growing up. As a young girl, I could never have dreamed I’d work in professional football one day. It just didn’t exist! It’s incredible how much it’s developed over the past ten years and I can’t wait to see what the next ten years holds!”
10. Bristol City Women have an unusual history in that they formed from Bristol Rovers Women originally. How exciting would it be for the Gas Girls to climb the leagues and meet for a big local derby one day?
“That would be fantastic for the city of Bristol! You can’t beat the excitement that a local derby day brings!”
