Yet to premiere period drama films second season in Bristol
Filming for a period drama was underway across the architecturally rich streets of Clifton on Thursday afternoon.
Carriages were parked on Vyvyan Terrace and cast members dressed in their Victorian attire sat in the shade of trees outside Christ Church, presumably waiting for their scene.
The filming is for the second season of PBS Masterpiece’s The Forsytes, even though the first season of the show has yet to premiere.

Passersby noticed dapper gentlemen doffing their hats or adjusting their monocles, and women pulling up their long gloves.
Horses were led down Christchurch Road towards grand carriages by actors in long black capes and top hats.
UK rights to the new adaptation of John Galsworthy’s novel series, The Forsyte Saga, were acquired by Channel 5 in March, with the show set to premiere across the country later in 2025.
This might mean that viewers in the UK will be able to see the first season before audiences in the USA, where the show is expected to premiere only in 2026.

The series revolves around the lives of the Forsytes, a family of stockbrokers
Set in London, the Forsytes, has been described as a “sweeping portrait of a wealthy British family in the 1880s”, which will be the third television adaptation of Galsworthy’s books.
Cast members of the new series’ first season include Danny Griffin, Joshua Orpin, Eleanor Tomlinson and Doctor Who star Millie Gibson.
