Suspected human remains found

Suspected human remains have been discovered in Emersons Green.

A member of the public alerted police about the remains just before midday on Tuesday following which police and fire crews attended the scene.

A cordon remains in place at Apple Grove, a cul-de-sac near the green space where the remains are believed to have been found.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesperson said: “Detectives have not yet been able to identify the remains, and the death is currently being treated as unexplained pending a forensic post-mortem examination.

“Anyone with any information which could help the investigation is asked to call 101 and give the reference 5224291560.
