Pedestrian killed after being hit by driver

A man in his 70s has died following a fatal collision in Downend.

The pedestrian, who has yet to be formally identified, was involved in a collision with the driver of a blue Citroen DS3 on North Street on Monday afternoon.

The pedestrian sadly died at the scene.

Avon & Somerset Police say officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle and no arrests were made.

They are seeking witnesses or dashcam footage while enquiries continue.

Anyone with information is asked to get in touch via 101, referencing number 5226037525.
