Nominations open for 2015 Design Award

By Bristol24/7  Thursday Feb 26, 2015

The Bristol Civic Society is welcoming nominations for 2015 Design Awards.

The awards are given to “celebrate and publicise high quality building design in the city”, and made across a wide spectrum from new buildings, conservation and refurbishment projects to open space and transport schemes.

The 2015 panel will be made up from members of Bristol Civic Society, Architecture Centre and the Junior Chamber of Commerce.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Last year, awards were given to:

– The refurbishment and extension of the Pro- Cathedral to provide student accommodation;

– J3 – a mixed-use redevelopment adjacent to junction 3 on the M32, providing homes, workplaces and community uses as well as open space and new pedestrian routes.

– Conservation of the Zion Chapel in Bishopsworth providing community facilities

– The new HQ building for Imperial Tobacco in Winterstoke Road.

Please send nominations to: [email protected] by 27th March 2015.  Nominations will need the address of the scheme, the owner together with the name of the architect. Awards will be presented at the Civic Society’s AGM to be held on 9th June at the Great Eastern Hall, beside the SS Great Britain.
