Miniature artefacts added to Gromit Unleashed 3 trail

By Karen Johnson  Friday Aug 1, 2025

A series of miniature artefacts are the latest addition to the ongoing Gromit Unleashed 3 trail.

Other than the 53 existing sculptures spread across the city, four miniature versions, two of which are bronze sculptures signed by Nick Park, can now be found within the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery.

While the artefacts certainly are within the museum grounds, trail fans might have to embark on an adventure to pinpoint their exact location, as they will be hidden throughout the museum.

The three miniature artefacts can now be found within the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery

The first of the two bronze sculptures, created and donated by Castle Fine Arts Foundry, captures Wallace and Gromit in a jovial, fun moment, while the second sculpture features Features McGraw controlling Wallace’s madcap trousers.

A third artefact has the cunning penguin reimagined as the subject of the Vermeer masterpiece, Girl with a Pearl Earring.

Finally, a Fabergé-inspired homage revealed itself through a sculpture titled ‘The Chicken and The Egg’, where the penguin’s sneaky charm is viewed as an opulent treasure.

Each of these sculptures will form part of the ‘Miniature Gromit Unleashed Collection’ that will be added to the trail’s map.

Director of charity, the Grand Appeal, Nicola Masters said: “We’re so excited for people to discover these brilliant new additions to the trail.

“Each one is packed with charm and celebrates everything we all know and love about Aardman’s iconic characters.”
