Jack’s mother says they are ‘not giving up’ as she recalls him on his birthday
While “time continues to move forward”, Jack O’Sullivan’s family still hunts for answers after he mysteriously disappeared more than a year ago following a night out in the city.
On Thursday, which was also Jack’s 23rd birthday, his mother Catherine O’Sullivan reached out to the public once again appealing for any information that could help them.
“We still have no idea where Jack is or what has happened to him”, said his mother in a post on a Facebook group, Find Jack, that was put together shortly after Jack’s disappearance in an attempt to gather clues.
Catherine continued: “Anyone that has information please come forward and share the with us. We still believe that someone knows something. All information can be sent to [email protected].

“Despite being sent messages that we should face the reality that we might not see Jack again We are not prepared to give up on our Son and Brother – what family would?
“There are still so many unanswered questions that we are seeking to resolve. The pain we are living is unbearable but we must keep going. We are not giving up on Jack and we ask you to do the same!”
Jack’s whereabouts remain unknown after he was last seen in the early of hours March 2 2024, when he left a house party in Hotwells. He was seen walking along Bennett Way slip road towards the city centre, wearing a quilted green/brown Barbour jacket over a beige woollen jumper, navy chinos and brown leather trainers with white soles.
On March 2 2025, Avon and Somerset Police appealed to the public to think back to what they were doing on that snowy, cold day in March. The evening was particularly cold and it had snowed, and Bristol City lost 1-0 to Cardiff City at Ashton Gate, later the same day.
More than 30 teams including National Police Air Service, HM Coastguard and National Crime Agency have been involved in what has been called an “extensive” search for the missing boy.
The then 22-year-old had graduated from the University of Exeter and was living with his mother, father and brother in their Flax Bourton home in north Somerset, as he studied for a law conversion course.
This will be Jack’s second birthday that the family will celebrate without him.
If you have any information, please call Avon and Somerset Police on 101 and quote reference 5224055172 to the call handler, or complete their online appeals form.
