In photos: Extinction Rebellion’s Summer Uprising day 2
Extinction Rebellion’s second day of their ‘Summer Uprising’ saw protesters leave their Bristol Bridge base to head towards Cabot Circus, Park Street and College Green.
Singer-songwriter and activist Billy Bragg spoke next to the boat on Bristol Bridge and later performed a few songs on College Green.
At City Hall, six people evaded the tight security to stage a topless protest at the back of the public gallery:
On some of the roads around Cabot Circus leading to and from the M32, groups of protesters blocked various lanes of traffic:
