Hot air balloon lands in Bedminster

A hot air balloon made an unscheduled landing in Bedminster on Monday evening.

The balloon landed outside Gaywood Surgery on North Street. There are no reports of any one hurt in the emergency landing.

Eyewitnesses said the balloon was struggling to gain height as it flew over Southville and Bedminster and praised the landing skills of the pilot who made a touchdown without any dragging on “a postage sized stamp of an area.”

Marc Day said: “It was pretty precise under the circumstances…It was very lucky and could have been a nasty outcome.”
