Four people taken to hospital following two road traffic collisions
A woman suffered serious injuries in a collision which involved a car and a female pedestrian.
The collision happened on Redcliff Hill close to its junction with Bedminster Bridge Roundabout at around 10.30pm on Friday night, with the woman taken to hospital with what police describe as “significant injuries”.
The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving, with the road closed until 4.20am on Saturday morning.

Later on Saturday, another serious road traffic collision happened less than two miles away.
Three people were taken to hospital after a collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian which occurred at about 5.40pm on Winterstoke Road in Bedminster.
It happened as fans were beginning to make their way towards nearby Ashton Gate Stadium to watch Bristol Bears.
