Fewer than 100 supporters to go

By Meg Houghton-Gilmour  Thursday Mar 10, 2022

We’re campaigning to grow our Bristol24/7 supporter community to 1000 members. In the past month 200 of you have pledged your support for local, independent journalism.

We’re aiming to achieve 1000 supporters by March 14th. This will give us a platform to grow our local coverage and focus on more of the Bristol issues that matter to you.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

We have exciting plans for 2022. We want to make sure local government is taking all the action it can on the climate crisis; we want to empower local business to be successful; and most of all, we want to fulfil our chief goal – to inform our (your) local community. The pandemic has been a tough time for all of us, not least young people, so we want to hire a youth editor to lead and represent on issues that impact our future, as well as our present. The role of community and charity groups is more important than ever, so we are taking on new community reporters to get us to the heart of what is happening in Bristol’s diverse communities.

We want to enfranchise Bristol’s community and we can’t do it without your help. The best way to support us is to become a member – it costs just £3.75 a month if you join for a year. For the price of a coffee (at one of our independent coffee shops, of course) you can ensure Bristol has an independent, critical voice bringing you the latest from the local agenda.

To say thank you for their support, we offer our members deals, discounts, freebies and competitions with local businesses in Bristol. We get the chance to platform amazing local businesses and you get a raft of benefits above and beyond our journalism. Everyone wins!

With just a week left of our campaign we are incredibly close to our target. If you value having local independent journalism in Bristol, please consider supporting us.

Find out how to support us by visiting our join page.
