Bristol South: 2017 General Election result

By Bristol24/7  Friday Jun 9, 2017

Karin Smyth secured more than 60 per cent of the vote as she retained her Bristol South seat for Labour.

“My priorities on returning to Parliament are what they have been for the last two years,” Smyth said.

“Post-16 apprenticeships and training for young people, housing to rent and buy in south Bristol, and the health service. Those are the issues that really matter to Bristol South.”

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!

Mark Weston, the Tory group leader in City Hall, came second but with only just more than half of Smyth’s votes.
