Body pulled from Floating Harbour

Police are appealing for help to piece together the last movements of a man who was found dead in the Floating Harbour.

The body of Andrew Bakehouse, 49, from Redcliffe, was pulled from Redcliffe Quay on Saturday shortly before 12.45pm after by police, fire & rescue teams and the harbour master after a call from a member of the public.

Detective Simon Jones, of Avon and Somerset police, said: “Firstly, our thoughts are with Andrew’s family.

“We now need to piece together his movements prior to Saturday afternoon. We would ask anyone who might have seen or heard from Andrew in the last few days to come forward.

“Any information, regardless of how insignificant you think it might be, could be crucial to this investigation.”
