Bloodhound open day tickets on sale

By Bristol24/7  Monday Oct 26, 2015

The public are being given a chance to see the supersonic Bloodhound inside its Avonmouth warehouse at an open day this week.

It is hoped Bloodhound SSC will break the land-speed record and reach 1,000 miles per hour in South Africa next year.

The multi-million pound, eight-year project is opening its doors to the public on Thursday, with tickets to see the vehicle for one hour costing £10 each.

Visitors will get to look inside parts of the car too as carbon fibre panels have been partially removed to expose the inner workings,  including the Rolls-Royce EJ200 jet engine.

Members of the engineering team will be on hand at the Bristol Technical Centre to take questions.

Tickets can be purchased here.
