Big Little Voices put on 5,335-metre climb
Big Little Voices (BLV), a non-profit organisation committed to improving the daily lives of hospitalised children, are hosting a daring event on October 10 in the hope of raising enough money to become a registered charity.
The event will consist of a 5,335 metre climb (the equivalent of trekking to Mount Everest basecamp and well over the height of the Eiffel tower) and BLV are looking for more would-be mountaineers to add to their current group.
The event will take place at Redpoint climbing centre in Bedminster, with raffles, music and food to entertain those with their feet still on the ground.
“This will be an exciting fundraiser for Big Little Voices,” says founder Marta Rubio. “It’s going to create fantastic memories and achievements whilst raising money to create and improve ethical medical research of childhood illnesses, catalysed by the power of childhood creativity and imagination.”
“The volunteers, sponsored climbers, Redpoint and I are looking forward to making this event a success and we welcome spectators and anyone who wants to take part in this fundraiser.”
