More arrests as crackdown on drug dealers in south Bristol continues
Two suspected drug dealers, said to be causing misery among communities in Knowle West and Withywood, have been arrested.
A 20-year-old from Bantry Road was arrested on Grinfield Avenue on Thursday (October 19) on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.
Knowle West beat manager PC Andy Gilbert said the man had been the source of many complaints in the neighbourhood.
Less than 48 hours earlier, a 28-year-old man from Dowland Grove was arrested after he was seen acting suspiciously in Withywood Road on Wednesday (October 18).
He had more than 40 wraps of suspected crack cocaine on him and was also arrested for possession with intent to supply.
“Nobody wants drug dealing happening outside their homes, whether it’s cannabis or class A,” said Gilbert.
“I hope people are encouraged to see we act on the information we get and keep telling us what they know.”
Anyone with information about people they believe to be dealing drugs is asked to report their suspicions to the police online or on the non-emergency number 101.
