Bristol24/7 mayoral hustings announced
With less than 100 days before Bristol votes for a mayor, Bristol24/7 is pleased to announce details of our hustings taking place at The Lantern at Colston Hall on April 28.
This will be your chance to make up your mind which of the candidates vying for the city’s top job gets your vote.
All of the mayoral candidates have been invited to attend this hustings, which will be moderated by Bristol24/7 Editor Martin Booth. The 90-minute event will be streamed live on Bristol24/7’s website and broadcast live on Made In Bristol TV.
The hustings will have a general theme of culture, but will also cover a wide variety of other topics – with many questions able to be submitted in advance and also on the night as the event unfolds.
Tickets will be free. Details of how to get tickets will be released soon. You will also be able to follow the hustings online using the hashtag #b247hustings
Louise Mitchell, chief executive of Bristol Music Trust, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming the mayoral hustings to Colston Hall and playing host to lively debate about the future of arts and culture in the city.”
Made in Bristol TV programme editor, Joe O’Brien, the executive producer of the event, added: “Well, Bristol’s biggest election just got bigger. It’s very cool that we’ve got together with Bristol24/7 – two of Bristol’s newest media brands working together. If I were a candidate I’d be swatting up.”
