GUILD CHRISTMAS SHOW: New makers and work in the magical surroundings of Bristol’s revamped emporium. Bristol Guild Gallery, 10am-6pm. 

CHEESE AND CIDER TASTING: Rosie Morgan from The Bristol Cheesemonger discovers the most harmonious pairings. Bristol Cider Shop, Wapping Wharf, 7.30pm.

THE BLUE AEROPLANES/ IAN MCNABB: Bristol’s art-rock group which have been cited as influences on the likes of REM, and Radiohead. Fleece, 7pm. – SOLD OUT

BABY ART HOUR: A chance to get creative for babies and toddlers up to five years old. Spike Island, 10-11am.

BIG SPORTS BREAKFAST: Motivational speaker and author Adrian Webster will host the event. Lansdown Club, Ashton Gate, 8am. 

PLUME OF FEATHERS: Prepare for a rowdily festive occasion of music, film and drinking. Stag and Hounds, 7.30pm. 

LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA: Expect to hear work by Tchaikovsky and Mozart by one of the world’s most highly regarded orchestras. Colston Hall, 7.30pm.
