🍂OCTOBER🍂 Quite possibly my favourite month of the year (if we ignore the rain!) It's time to enjoy some proper autumnal colours and some silly Halloween fun. There is so much happening in Bristol during the next few weeks – here are my top monthly picks. Don't forget to bookmark this post for reference! . 🖍 5th It's the monthly @rwabristol Scribble and Sketch morning from 10.30am-12.30pm. Ideal for kids of all ages and their grown ups to enjoy an informal morning of drawing and art together, often based on current exhibitions. And best of all, it's free! . 🌃 11th Head to the Old City between 5pm-10pm for @stnicksnight market. Check out their account for all the details – including the amazing street food stalls. There'll be lots of shopping and live music too. See you there! . 🍁 Mid-October is the best time to catch the amazing autumn colours at @westonbirtarb which is only 45 minutes drive from the city. I'm excited to be heading there to cover all the leafy goodness – stay tuned for a new blog post all about my visit. . 🤕 25th (until 2nd Nov) Grisly Cuts & Gruesome Scars at @ssgreatbritain is back by popular demand (not suitable for under 3s). Included in the admission price – scare your friends with seaworthy injuries from professional special effects makeup artists. My son loved this last year so we'll definitely be heading back for some more injuries! . 📚 26th (until 3rd Nov) It's the inaugural @storytalefest – Bristol’s first ever citywide children’s book festival with events for tots to teens. All the events are under £5 or free. I'm really excited about this – check out their account for all the bookworm details. . 🎃 30th Head to the lovely @tryllashop on North Street for a special Spooky Clay Club from 6-9pm. The shop will be decorated, there will be a Halloween raffle, and costumes are encouraged! Find all the details and booking links on the Trylla website. There is loads more happening around the city, including a special Autumn Discoveries half-term week at @wildplaceproject. I'll put more details of a few other events on Stories later. What are you most looking forward to this month?
