A wonderland of penguins, polar bears and yetis
Illustrator Rhys Reed was was given a simple brief by the owners of Creativity Craft Supplies before designing their Christmas window display: it must contain penguins and polar bears.
Reed has excelled himself, creating a magical display featuring penguins, polar bears and yetis for the shop on Worrall Road in Clifton, just off Blackboy Hill using natural materials that he mostly finds in woods and parks.
The window display is not just a pretty Christmas scene though, for Rhys it holds a message about individuality, inclusivity and acceptance of all.
“I feel there’s too much segregation in the world so when I create something, all my characters get on,” Rhys says. “I will always advocate kindness and caring.”
For fans of this festive scene, Rhys hints that he will be returning to the window display in time for Easter.
