Bristol Charity Advent Calendar – day nine
Above & Beyond is the official charity for all nine of Bristol’s city centre hospitals.
The charity helps to improve hospital environments, fund groundbreaking research, support the training of hospital staff and provide state-of-the-art equipment to the hospitals, which include the BRI, Bristol Heart Institute and the Children’s Hospital.
Each year Above & Beyond raise an estimated £3m for hospital projects and this Christmas they’re launching an appeal to raise even more.
The Christmas Appeal aims to raise £20,000 for the Children’s Hospital.
More than 5,000 children will spend Christmas in hospital this year, away from their families and the comfort of their homes.
Above & Beyond’s Christmas Appeal will help to sprinkle a little Christmas magic into hospital wards this year and create comforting environments for children.
