Thousands of people cycled through traffic-free city centre streets on Sunday afternoon as part of the HSBC UK Let’s Ride event.

People of all ages got on their bikes to ride the 6km course which began on College Green and went along St George’s Road, Millennium Square, Queen Square and more, with College Green hosting a number of family-friendly activities.

Also in attendance was event ambassador Mike Tindall, a member of England’s 2003 Rugby World Cup-winning squad.

Mike Tindall’s wife, Zara Phillips, gave birth to their second child last month. Lena Elizabeth is 19th in line to the throne.

Many riders took advantage of the free horns being given out

Bristol’s city centre streets were full of happy cyclists

There wasn’t a car to be seen
