Thekla to open new socially distanced bar

Bristol’s floating venue may still be closed for music, but has announced the opening of a new Dockside Bar.

Opening on July 31, 2020, the outdoor bar hopes will provide socially distance seating overlooking the harbourside while playing music specially selected by Thekla’s resident DJs.

Open every week from Friday to Sunday, the Dockside Bar also offers tables for between two and six people from the same household for up to two and a half hours.

The team hope to have tables free for walk in customers but recommend that people book in advance to ensure a table as walk ins are on a first come, first serve basis.
