UberEats is coming to Bristol

By Bristol24/7  Monday Jul 24, 2017

Deliveroo cyclists in their turquoise livery are already a familiar sight across Bristol.

They will be joined on Wednesday by UberEats riders wearing black as the taxi app moves into the food delivery business.

UberEats promise to “get you the food you want from the restaurants you love, faster than anyone else. Just open the app, find what you’re craving, and have it delivered right to you.”

Bristol24/7 understands that many Deliveroo riders are set to move over to UberEats, while existing Uber taxi drivers will also be able to deliver food from their cars.

UberEats is already available in 13 UK cities, including Cardiff where it launched last month and includes Burger Theory – currently crowdfunding to open a permanent restaurant in Bristol – on its list of partners.

Other than a sticker in the window of Pizzarova in Wapping Wharf, there has been no confirmation yet on the Bristol restaurants available on UberEats.

But even McDonald’s look set to be in on the act delivering a Big Mac alongside a promotional onesie.
