Pub to be given a refresh by new team

A closed pub is being reopened by the owners of a nearby hostelry only a few hundred yards away.

The Coach & Horses in St Jude’s is only a short stroll from the Old Castle Green, a well-known LGBTQ+-friendly boozer.

Both pubs are on Gloucester Lane between Old Market Street and Lamb Street.

On Friday, the Old Castle Green team announced on their social media pages that they had taken over the Coach & Horses, to the excitement of many of their followers.

On Instagram they said: “It’s OFFICIAL!! The Coach and Horses is OPEN!!

“Head down and visit this weekend for the very soft launch!

“And keep your eyes out for (the) launch party!”
