Prince of Wales pub given colourful makeover

By Martin Booth  Tuesday May 20, 2025

Street artist HazardOne has painted a colourful new mural on the Prince of Wales pub.

The Gloucester Road local is part of the Craft Union Pub Company and now features a giant humming bird and flowers on its outside wall.

HazardOne, whose real name is Harriet Wood and was previously based in Bristol, called her piece painted as part of the pub’s current refurbishment “tropical, leafy goodness”.

“Thanks for all the car beeps and hellos, been so nice to see so many familiar faces!” HazardOne wrote on Instagram.

“Glorious sunshine for the whole paint apart from a cheeky hail and rain downpour for about 15mins on the Sunday, which of course I was in the top of the scaff for.”
