Popular Bristol chef joins food programme lineup for Valley Fest
A popular Bristol chef is part of the food programme lineup for Valley Fest 2026.
Pegs Quinn, co-owner and head chef of Sonny Stores in Southville, will join a team of stellar culinary names at the festival in July, which returns after a fallow year in 2025.
Other than Quinn, the festival’s latest food programme will feature Michelin Green star holding chef Chantelle Nicholson, Great British Menu Champion of Champions 2025 winner Amber Francis and several others.

The food festivities will be held across four dedicated stages, spanning the festival’s duration.
Quinn will curate a special four-course brunch menu for The Tuck Inn feasts on July 31, which will be followed by a “seasonal, low-waste cooking” feast by Nicholson.
Francis will lead sittings on August 1 with produce-led menus, while Sunday’s Regen Roast will be led by MasterChef UK 2006 runner-up Dean Edwards and Valley Fest’s food programme curator Mark Lloyd.
The Cooking Over Fire Stage will return led by Michelin-trained chef Simon Dyer, including sessions from Hugo Harvey, the creator of the food pop-up Blasé.
One of Bristol’s leading independent breweries Wiper and True, who are also creating a special edition beer for our EatDrink24/7 event in July, will also be in attendance.

Luke Hasell, founder of Valley Fest, said: “Food’s always been a huge part of Valley Fest – it’s really where it all started.
“We’re lucky to have such amazing producers on our doorstep, and bringing in chefs like this to cook with that kind of produce, right here in the Chew Valley, is pretty special.”
