Pata Negra to donate August sales to charity
Bristol restaurant and tapas bar Pata Negra are going the extra mile for a good cause this month after announcing their plans to donate all profits made from August lunch sales to a local charity.
Staff at the popular haunt, which is located on Corn Street in the Old City, have even promised to work some of their shifts for free in an effort to raise more money for Penny Brohn Cancer Care.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the ‘Lunch for Penny’ initiative, Pata Negra owners Joanna Michalek Clerc and Nathan Lee said: “Since opening the restaurant we’ve always been driven to do something more to give back.”
“Cancer is something that’s affected everyone, including us and the vast majority of our team,” they added. “Penny Brohn does so much to help those affected we couldn’t think of a better charity to support.”
The scheme will run until the end of the month with the restaurant throwing a fundraising bash on Sunday 30 August. The event will include live music and a raffle with all proceeds made going to the charity.
