Eat a Pitta to open on Queen’s Road

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday Aug 15, 2017

From humble beginnings in St Nick’s Market, Eat a Pitta have since expanded across Bristol and next month will be opening their fourth outlet on Queen’s Road opposite the Wills Memorial Building.

The Eat a Pitta falafel recipe originated in Grandma Yolandes’ kitchen in the back streets of Algiers more than 70 years ago.

“As a kid I was always glued to my grandmother’s side as she taught me how to make the perfect falafel, crispy on the outside, moist in the middle,” says Eat a Pitta founder Dan Levy.

“Armed with my grandma’s secret recipe and 12 years experience cooking in the restaurant business, I realised my dream in November 2011 and opened Eat a Pitta in St Nicholas Market in Bristol with the help of The Prince’s Trust.”

Since then, Dan and his team have spread the falafel love to Broadmead and Gloucester Road, with the Clifton Triangle store due to occupy a spot most recently occupied by Sandwich Sandwich.
