‘Drool-worthy chicken towers’ and cocktails at new burger restaurant

By Karen Johnson  Thursday Oct 23, 2025

A new burger restaurant promising “drool-worthy chicken towers and coq’tails” is preparing to open in Bristol.

Coq, a “gourmet chicken burger bar” founded by brothers Will and Ollie Ford, will replace what was most recently the restaurant ABOE on Whiteladies Road.

The restaurant originally opened in Chippenham in 2020, following the success of the brothers’ food truck business called “The Coq Au Van”.

In Bristol, the restaurant will be neighbours to the vegan joint VeBurger and Pizzarova’s site on the same street.

Describing the brothers’ love for burgers, Coq’s website reads: “Both Will & Ollie have an ingrained drive to provide only the best tasting burgers coupled with a friendly and inviting service”
