Cocktails and gelato added to dining 100ft in the air

By Bristol24/7  Thursday Feb 16, 2017

More chefs have been confirmed for what promises to be Bristol’s most unique dining experience of the year – which will see paying guests dangling 100 feet in the air from a crane in Waterfront Square next to the Lloyds Amphitheatre.

From September 7 to 10, breakfast at Events In The Sky will be provided by Rosemarino of Clifton, with lunch and dinner from Romy’s Kitchen of Thornbury, Second Floor at Harvey Nichols and Henry’s of Bath.

Clifton bar Her Majesty’s Secret Service will be serving cocktails at the evening events, with College Green’s Swoon Gelato hosting the afternoon flights.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

With nine sittings per day, guests with a head for heights have the choice of breakfast (£50), lunch (£125), dinner (£150), afternoon drinks (£75) or evening drinks (£75).

Romy Gill of Romy’s Kitchen said: “I like to take challenges in my life and cooking 100ft in the air is definitely one of them. For me, it’s about showing people my journey of food and bringing it to them at the table. I am absolutely thrilled to be part of the experience.”

Swoon founder Bruno Forte added:“As an innovative new business in Bristol, we love a challenge. What better way to be challenged than serving our fresh gelato 100ft in the air?

“We’re excited to be the first gelato company in the sky, and who can resist a gelato cream tea on a warm September afternoon overlooking our wonderful city of Bristol?”

General release of tickets will be available from February 27 at www.eventsinthesky.co.uk
