A week-long celebration of seafood returns to Bristol
A popular seafood celebration is set to make a welcome return to the city for its second year.
The brainchild of Josh Eggleton from The Pony Group, Bristol Seafood Week was founded in 2024 to foster deeper connections with regional waters while celebrating sustainable sea produce, local producers, chefs and restaurants.
Participating restaurants will play host to a series of events starting July 7 which will culminate with a weekend festival in Wapping Wharf where visitors will indulge in seafood feasts, cooking demonstrations, seafood experiences and here from notable members of the hospitality industry.
is needed now More than ever
Eggleton – who is also one of the founders of Anti-Banquet – believes this event could change people’s perceptions about seafood: “British seafood is arguably some of the best in the world, yet it’s often underused and misunderstood for being difficult to cook or expensive, and we want to change people’s perception of this through our range of events, talks and demos at Bristol Seafood Week.”

The Portland princess oysters with shallot vinegar and lemon was one of the dishes on Noah’s menu for Bristol Seafood Week 2024
He continued: “As a city so close to the coast, we’ve got a wealth of incredible produce on our doorstep here in Bristol, so we want to showcase how versatile and delicious it can be, whilst celebrating the city’s amazing restaurants, chefs and producers.
“We also want to highlight how to make sustainable choices to protect the marine life in our waters. We can’t wait to bring together the best of Bristol and beyond for a week-long celebration of seafood this year!”
The current list of restaurants and pubs includes Box-E, Salt and Malt, The Kensington Arms, Bagelry Box, Noah’s, Root, The Pump House, Cotto, The Olive Shed, Condesa, Gambas, and Clifton Seafood Company—with many more to be announced soon.
