In photos: Massive Attack on the Downs by day
It may have originally been billed as a Massive Attack gig, but as the day got nearer the lineup got bigger and bigger; eventually morphing into a one-day festival with three stages:

Umbrellas had to be left by the gate – and poncho sellers were doing better business than ticket touts on the way to the entrance
Tickets at the ready
A few Big Issue vendors were selling the magazine inside the gate
Massive Attack’s 3D was instrumental in the look and feel of the artwork and stage designs
This gold raincoat was among the top wet weather fashion choices on show
Bristol’s local currency was just one of the stalls ringing the site
There were also some familiar food stalls
This was meant to be the Information Stage
But due to the inclement weather, the speakers were moved under canvas
Black and white photos of refugees dotted the site
In one corner was the children’s area
Where the face painters were doing sterling work…
…despite the rain
