Dot To Dot announces more than 40 artists to join 2021 lineup

By Mercedes White  Monday Jun 21, 2021

Sports Team, Palace, Black Honey, Snapped Ankles, Billie Marten, Sorry and many more will be taking the stage for the return of Dot To Dot (D2D).

Crowds of music lovers are eagerly awaiting one of the biggest festivals in the Bristol calendar as organisers awaken their “reputation for unearthing new talent” and round up some of the UK’s best in the music scene.

The festival that takes place across multiple venues in the city is due to take place on September 25 and tickets for Bristol have already sold out.

“We adopted a clear ethos of giving emerging and alternative music a platform to shine from the start, which was reflected in our lineup at the festival and set the blueprint for future editions for years to come,” said the D2D team, announcing the second wave of artists.

With 16 years in the making, they are excited to hold their first-ever Autumn festival this September.

The latest announcement sees more than 40 new names added to the official line-up. Fusing previous headliners with fresh, new talent, D2D has announced artists such as Black Honey, Snapped Ankles, Billie Marten and Sorry will be taking the stage this Autumn.

Alex Rice, frontman of the previous headliner band Sports Team expresses the band’s excitement to be back on stage.

“Can’t wait to be back, this’ll be the first time we’ve played our debut album since it was released in 2020. A two-night inter-city headline feels the right way to dip our toes back in,” said Alex.

The lineup has enough diversity to keep the audience on their feet for the weekend. After a year’s pause in gatherings and live music, there is a tangible and rekindled buzz beginning to brew in the air.

“We’re really excited to be bringing so many fantastic emerging artists to these stages, many of which are in grassroots venues, particularly with the guarantee of performing in front of sold-out crowds in Bristol,” says Anton Lockwood, organiser and Director of Live at DHP Family.

“These types of venues & new artists are a huge part of the live music ecosystem in the UK, and after so long away from gigs & venues, Dot To Dot this September is sure to be a massive celebration of live music and the importance it holds.”

Bristol proves hungry for live music and entertainment, as the “new-music-championing” event tickets have sold out.

D2D has announced that more names are to be added to this year’s lineup.
