FAQs
What is Bristol Legends?
Bristol Legends is a new way to celebrate the best of Bristol with content across Bristol24/7 channels and at a huge event on March 6, 2026 raising vital funds for good causes and our independent journalism which is increasingly under threat.
The Bristol Legends event will include a three course dinner from Josh Eggleton and the amazing teams from AntiBanquet and Team Canteen. It will feature a jaw dropping show, collaborations with some of Bristol’s most exciting arts organisations and performers and a feast like no other. Flipping the idea of a traditional awards event on its head we will be celebrating Bristol’s best with something you’ve not seen before.
This part of the event will be followed by the Bristol Legends party that will take place in the concourse at Ashton Gate, featuring some of Bristol’s best bands, DJs and immersive performance from The Invisible Circus and friends. Attendees of the event will all be welcome to the party but we will also have tickets available for anyone who just wants to join for this part of the night.
More details on the party coming soon so watch this space…
How are you choosing who to celebrate?
We have appointed panels of experts in each of these following areas: music, performing arts, visual art, food & drink, community, sustainability, business and sport. Panellists will put forward nominations for individuals and organisations across these categories.
Panellists will score nominations against a set of criteria and provide a shortlist for their category.
We’re also taking public nominations on our website for all the above categories as well as for an overall Bristol Legend. This gives our readers the opportunity to nominate individuals or organisations that you think we should be celebrating. The panel will review all public nominations and consider them for their short lists.
We don’t just want to recognise an award winner so will be celebrating many of the nominations through multimedia content throughout the year and at the event. At the Bristol Legends event we will be recognising winners across all the categories above as well as one overall Bristol Legend chosen by our readers.
How will you make sure the process is fair and represent the best of Bristol?
We have selected independent panels to put forward suggestions and shortlist from panel and public nominations. They will also select an overall Legend within their category to be announced at the event e.g. Bristol Music Legend.
The Bristol Legend category is slightly different. This can be any individual from any area who you think should be celebrated. We do not have panels for this category. It will be selected by the number of nominations we receive from you through your nominations on our site. We’ll create and publish a shortlist later in the year when we’ll ask you to narrow this down to your overall Bristol Legend.
Bristol24/7 do reserve the right to veto nominations for Bristol Legends if we feel that they do not align with our values or those of an inclusive and welcoming city.
How will the Bristol Legends make a difference?
We have seen how celebrating Bristol makes a difference to all those we cover with our content. By celebrating Bristol community organisations, sustainability organisations, businesses, artists, performers, venues, restaurants and beyond we will uplift the city at a time when many need it more than ever.
The funds raised at the Bristol Legends event will go directly to support Bristol24/7’s social impact initiatives, our independent journalism – which is increasingly under threat – and charities tackling food insecurity in Bristol. You can see more about our causes here.
Who can purchase a table?
We are encouraging Bristol businesses to purchase a table for the evening, but we also have pairs of tickets available for anyone who would still like to attend and support this fantastic cause.
Can I gift or sponsor a table?
Yes! We are looking for individuals and businesses to purchase tables so that those who can’t afford to attend will be able to join us. You can select charities or community groups that you work with or we can fill these with individuals who we are recognising on the night but who can’t afford to be there.
We will be recognising businesses who are able to sponsor tables on our website, pre-event publicity and on big screens throughout the night (unless you’d prefer us not to).
We are also encouraging anyone who is stuck for their company Christmas night out to choose the Bristol Legends instead. Even though it’s in March, it’ll give you something to look forward to. Why not celebrate and do good for the city of Bristol at the same time?
I don’t want to purchase a whole table, what other options do I have?
No problem. We have pairs of tickets available for people who would like to attend the event or businesses who would like to share with other businesses. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss your options.
Tickets for the party will be available for those who would prefer to join for this part of the evening. Details of that coming soon…
