Six more months of performance at Jacob’s Wells Baths

By Steve Wright  Saturday May 19, 2018

Bristol arts programmers Artspace Lifespace have been allowed to continue programming events at Jacob’s Wells Baths until October 2018.

Following a cabinet decision to pass the building on to the sports and leisure management charity Fusion Lifestyle, it was expected that the lease at Jacob’s Wells Baths would be completed by March 2018, subject to the council receiving an acceptable and sustainable full business plan, with essential repairs to be undertaken within six months.

Jacob’s Wells Baths was originally built as a swimming pool and most recently hosted dance classes

While Fusion finalise their ambitious plans to restore the building, the city council has asked Artspace Lifespace to manage the building until October 2018.

A fund from Quartet enabled Artspace Lifespace to keep the Baths running throughout winter, and Bristol can now look forward to a final summer of performance at the former dance centre.
