The Blast & Psyched team up at Lakota
Two of Bristol’s leading club promoters get together for a proper, no nonsense rave on June 5. The Blast x Psyched present Experience takes place in the five rooms at Lakota and old Coroners Court, and the lineup is immense. Top of the bill is junglist scratch-master DJ Hype, who’s joined by IC3, the winner of the best crowd hype MC category at 2013’s Drum & Bass Awards.
Then there’s special guest DJ Marky, whose distinctive Brazilian take on drum & bass made him a poster boy for the genre’s growth into a global movement. Also playing the main room are bashment wrecking crew The Heatwave, dubstep warriors N-Type and Jakes, plus grime lords D Double E, Chimpo, Trigga and Spooky.
The second arena is headlined by the awesome Gorgon Sound, a dub reggae project from Bristol grime masterminds Kahn & Neek (pictured), with support from dubstep survivor Youngsta (FWD>> / Rinse FM), Deep Medi signing Kaiju and Bristol’s own Gatekeeper (Punch Drunk / Skull Disco). Other rooms feature cutting edge bass manoeuvres from the likes of Darq E Freaker (Numbers) and Oil Gang (Boxed).
