Idles share video for new single ‘Colossus’
Bristol’s punk favourites Idles have dropped a brand new single ahead of their highly anticipated second album.
It’s the first new music since last year’s length album Brutalism took the music world by storm and follows a series of visual teasers from the band in the run-up to going live.
The band used the hashtag #JOYASANACTOFRESISTANCE which clearly continues the stark political drive that has gained them so much attention over the last few years.
Musically the track is arguably more sinister and less direct than anything we’ve heard from the band before, that is until their huge turbulant release at the end.
Directed and produced by Will Hooper, the video itself is highly stylised and ambiguous, showing the band members hedge trimming and wandering around a big country house.
