Getdown Services release live session with very special guests
Bristol’s hottest new act, lo-fi indie duo Getdown Services, have teamed up with a well known indie trio for a live session recorded at a studio in St Philip’s.
humm studios is behind the recordings of many of Bristol’s finest contemporary artists including Mould, Scaler, Heavy Lungs, Wych Elm and the Tara Clerkin Trio.
They also produce live in-studio sessions and the latest, recorded in August 2025, features Getdown Services backed up by beloved Welsh trio the Bug Club.

The one-off indie supergroup perform Getdown Services’ Dog Dribble – which has already accrued over 2,000 views after just one day – as well as melancholic piece I Wish It Didn’t Bother Me and a cover of ACDC’s Let There Be Rock.
The Bug Club’s Tilly Harris, on bass, and Sam Wilmett, on guitar, provide backing vocals while new member Tom Rees is on drums.
The session has been well received online, with viewers suggesting “music has peaked,” calling it a “superhero team up” and requesting a co-headline tour.
It’s the latest from the pair who have been on a UK tour since playing two sold out hometown shows at the Trinity Centre in January.
They are set to embark on tours of the US and New Zealand over April and May.
They will announced their next release in the next three months and support Super Furry Animals at Bristol Sounds on June 24.

Getdown Services were shortlisted for Best Newcomer in the music category of the Bristol Legends awards. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on March 6.
